Everything is so complicated
But this is so simple
it starts with a spark a flicker
it spreads to everything
it drains the living from what it touches
it grows uncontrollably
i stare blankly, memorized by its power
red yellow orange
it flickers and dances in the dark
during the day it hazes the blue sky
i envy the flame
